to clear the troubleshooting code.
(2) If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.

5. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical cause of the setup of DTC
C0042 includes:
(1) Open circuit or high resistance of
BPMV pump motor;

1. Description of circuit
Pump motor is included in BPMV and
grounded through EBCM terminal D.

2. Conditions for setup of
troubleshooting codes
C0043 can only be set up when the
ignition switch is on. Order the pump
motor to be turned off after receiving the
operation order and the EBCM detects
locked or slowly-moving pump motor.

3. Actions to be taken for setup of
troubleshooting codes
(1) The electromagnetic relay is turned off
and pump motor and solenoid are
disconnected with the power source.
(2) Save DTC C0043.
(3) ABS is disabled and ABS alarm lamp
is on.

4. Conditions for clearing
troubleshooting codes
(1) If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting code DTC C0043 are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be used
to clear the troubleshooting code.
(2) If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.
5. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical cause of the setup of DTC
C0043 includes:
(1) Terminal D bad contact;
(2) Overresitance of terminal D ground
circuit;

1. Description of circuit
This troubleshooting code is used in the
case of sudden voltage failure or ground

circuit for the EBCM. The storage battery
voltage is provided on terminals A and B.

Ignition voltage is provided on terminal
A11. Terminal C is grounded.

2. Conditions for setup of
troubleshooting codes
DTC C0054 will be set up when the
EBCM has detected that the power source
or ground circuit is missing but regained in
a short while.

3. Actions to be taken for setup of
troubleshooting codes
(1) The electromagnetic relay is turned off
and pump motor and solenoid are
disconnected with the power source.
(2) Save C0054.
(3) ABS is disabled and ABS alarm lamp
is on.
(4) DDRP is disabled and braking alarm
lamp is on.

4. Conditions for clearing
troubleshooting codes
(1) If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting code DTC C0054 are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be used
to clear the troubleshooting code.
(2) If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.

5. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical causes of C0054 include:
(1) Weak or discharged storage battery;
(2) Storage battery terminals are loosened
or have bad contact;
(3) Disconnected storage battery;
(4) Ground cable is loosened or has bad
contact;
(5) EBCM terminals have bad contact;
(6) Extra current is excessively shunted;
(7) Charging system fault.
