Chery A15 Maintenance Manual
8. Uncoded Fault Checklist
(1). ABS warning light is not on when ignition switch is turned to “ON” (engine off).
Possible Cause
[Description]
This may be caused by open power circuit, burned light bulb
or damaged warning light control.

(2). ABS warning light dose not go out after engine is started.
Possible Cause
[Description]
This may be caused by damaged ABS warning light
control or open ABS warning light circuit.

·
ABS ECU damage
Note: This failure mode is limited to the situation that communication between
system and fault diagnoser is available (ABS ECU power supply is normal), and
no fault code is displayed.

(3). ABS Malfunction
Possible Cause
[Description]
This problem is closely related to driver and road
condition, and is difficult to diagnose. Check following
items provided there is no fault code memory.
·
Sensors improperly installed
·
Sensor wire harness defect
·
Sensor damage
·
Gear ring damage
·
Foreign matter adhered to sensor

(4). Excessive brake pedal travel.
Possible Cause
[Description]
First visually check for exterior leakage or mechanical
failures, and check for air in system by exhaust method,
then check the normally closed valve for leakage with
hydraulic control unit test of fault diagnoser.
·
Brake fluid leakage
·
Normally closed valve leakage
