9 . Install the right-hand catalytic converter.

10 . Install the right-hand exhaust manifold heat shield upper retaining bolts.

Tighten to 3 Nm.

Flexplate (12.53.13)

Removal

1 . Remove the automatic transmission. For additional information, refer to

CAUTION: The bolts can only be used 3 times, mark the bolts with a center punch. If

2 punch marks are visible, discard the bolts.

NOTE:

Prevent the flexplate from rotating.

Remove the flexplate.

Remove the 8 bolts.

Installation

1 . NOTE:

Make sure the crankshaft and flexplate mating faces are clean before installation.

NOTE:

The flexplate will only locate in one position.

NOTE:

Install, but do not tighten, the flexplate retaining bolts.

Install the flexplate.

Prevent the flexplate from rotating.

2 . NOTE:

Tighten the retaining bolts working diagonally.

Tighten to 15 Nm.

3 . NOTE:

Tighten the retaining bolts working diagonally.

Tighten to 110 Nm.
