Remove the transmission selector lever.

• NOTE: If the transmission is to be removed for access, there is no need to drain the transmission fluid as long as the
fluid cooler is not disconnected from the transmission assembly.

Remove the battery tray.

Removal and Installation).

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle
stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.

Siphon the fluid from the power steering reservoir.

WARNING: Make sure that a new steering
column flexible coupling bolt is installed.
Disconnect the lower steering column from the steering
gear.

Remove the starter motor.

Support the engine.

WARNING: Make sure that new nuts are
installed.
• NOTE: Vehicles with automatic transmission have a
breather pipe attached to the mounting.
Remove the bracket.

Remove the LH engine mount.
8.
Remove the earth strap.
9.
Remove the engine mount bracket.
10.
Release and disconnect the selector lever cable.
11.
Drain the transmission fluid.

12.
Remove the front wheels and tires.
Refer to:
Wheel and Tire
(204-04 W heels and Tires, Removal and
Installation).
13.
Remove the towing eye cover.
14.
Remove the 2 bolts securing bumper cover.
