No. 173 Steering wander during normal driving
Malfunction
Causes
Solution
Tire pressure of two front wheels not equal, diameter not
equal or ca loading uneven;
Inflate the tire, adjust loading;
One of tire or hub of two front wheels deformed
Replace deformed tire or hub;
One ball head of steering tie-rod loosening or jammed
Replace loosening or jammed ball head;
Toe-in too large or negative toe-in
Correct toe-in;
one ball head of lower swing arm loosening or jammed
Replace loosening or jammed ball head
of lower swing arm;
Front spiral spring at two sides with unequal height or
elasticity;
Replace spring;
One lower swing arm bent or lining loosening
Replace lower swing arm assembly;
Lower joist of front suspension deformed
Replace lower joist of front suspension;
Wheelbase of two sides of frames unqual
Adjust wheelbase at two sides of frame;
Hub bearing or oil seal of two front wheels with unequal
degree of tightness
Adjust degree of tightness of hub bearing
or oil seal of two front wheels;
Wheels at two sides of front, rear axles with braking or
dragging at one side;
Correct breaking of wheels at two sides
of front, rear axle;
camber angle of two front wheels, kingpin caster angle or
kingpin toe-in angle unequal;
Correct camber angle of two front
wheels, kingpin caster angle or kingpin
toe-in angle
Front beam, rear axle tube or frame with bending with
horizontal plane;
Correct front beam, rear axle tube or
frame;
Camber of paving too large or with cross wind.
Choose road for driving;
Automatically run to
another side during
driving. Straight driving
only ensured with
hands forcibly holding
steering wheel
Electric power-assisted steering pitch sensor incorrectly
adjusted
Adjust or replace steering column
assembly;

No. 174 Front wheel tire abnormally worn
Malfunction Causes
Solution
(1) Tire pressure not conforming to requirements;
Inflate or discharge to the standard
(2) Tire not changed for long time;
Replace the tire
(3) Front wheel incorrectly positioned, especially
toe-in and camber incorrectly matched
Make four-wheel positioning
(4) Hub bearing loosening
Replace the bearing
(5) Steering inner, outer tie-rod or steering engine
loosening;
Replace ball head or fasten screws
(6) Radial circle or end face circle of front wheel
with too large runout;
Balance the tire or replace tire
(7) Rotating quality of front wheel imbalanced;
Balance the tire
(8) Front wheel yawing;
Fasten nuts of tie-rod ball head, replace the tire
(9) Longitudinal center line of front axle and frame
not vertical, or wheelbase at two sides of frame
unequal;
Correct or adjust frame and wheelbase
(10) Front axle or frame bent, deformed;
Correct or adjust frame and wheelbase
(11) Front axle with insufficient rigidity;
Replace front axle
(12) Steering tie-rod or ball joint with insufficient
rigidity;
Replace steering tie-rod
(13) Front wheel unbracing, braking slowly back,
or braking dragging;
Adjust braking
(14) Tire bolt loosening;
Fasten screws
(15) Overloading, uneven loading, startup too fast,
turning or braking at high-speed with too strong
rush;
Reduce loading or reduce braking
(16) Often drive on the road with larger camber; Reduce driving on unfavorable road
(17) Turning angle unable to ensure pure rolling of
each wheel, with too much or insufficient steering;
Eliminate incorrect driving behaviors
Tire increasingly
worn, with unusual
tread shape
(18) Poor tire quality;
Choose high-quality tire
