No.308 Malfunction check list of malfunction code
1
Malfunction code: 01276
Possible cause
[Description]
When the speed exceeds 20km/h, the ABS ECU will monitor abnormal
operation of the motor, then a malfunction code will be recorded.
[Prompt] When this malfunction code is displayed, it means the harness between the
motor and ECU is loose. Function test of the hydraulic unit of the failure diagnosis
instrument can be used to drive the motor to carry out the test.
z
The power is broken or
earthed
z
The motor harness is loose
z
The motor is damaged
Note:
The motor is incapable of being driven if the battery is of excess discharging, so the battery voltage must be
confirmed to be normal before the motor driving test is made. The vehicle must be at the stationary state
when the motor driving test is made.
Unplug the motor harness and connect
the battery power directly to the motor
plug, does the motor still operate?
Inspect the fuse and the ABS ECU joint
Connect the motor harness
Turn the ignition switch to "ON"
Clear the trouble code
Carry out the hydraulic control unit diagnostic
using the failure diagnosis instrument
Does the failure recur?
Refer to "gist of incidental trouble

Replace the hydraulic control unit
Replace the fuse or the harness
Replace the electronic control unit

Malfunction codes: 00283, 00285, 00290 and 00287 (mechanical
malfunction)
Possible cause
[Description]
The malfunction code will appear when open circuit of the return
can not be checked out and there is no signal output when the speed is above
20km/h.
[Prompt] It may be caused by miss installation of the sensor, short of the sensor
coil or the harness, ultra large air gap between the sensor and the tooth ring, or the
damage or the tooth ring.
