1. Remove the trim as shown. To remove the high mount brake light, first disconnect the bulb socket.

2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Replace any damaged clips.

z

When installing the rear shelf, slip the rear seat belts and center seat belt through the slits and hole
in the rear shelf.

z

Make sure the high mount brake light bulb socket is connected securely.

C-pillar - With Side Curtain Airbag

NOTE:

z

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

z

When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to
prevent damage.

z

Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1. Remove the trim as shown:

2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

If the side curtain airbag have deployed, be sure to check the removed trim pieces for damage
before reinstallation (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS ), and if necessary, replace them
and the trim clips with new ones.

z

If the side curtain airbag have not deployed, removed trim pieces should still be checked for
damage (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS ), and replace them with new ones if necessary.

z

Make sure the top of the trim overlaps with the headliner correctly (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT
SYSTEMS ).

z

Push the clip portions into place securely.

NOTE:

z

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

z

When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to
prevent damage.

z

Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK AREA

1. Remove the trim as shown.

2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and replace any damaged clips.

Two clips are located behind the rear seats.

TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK LID

1. Remove the trim as shown.
