18. Check for continuity between the following
terminals of the climate control unit 30P connector
and the power transistor 4P connector.
30P:
4P:
No. 11
No. 1
No. 12
No. 2
Go to step 19.
Repair open in the wires between the climate
control unit and the power transistor.
19. Start the engine.
20. Measure the voltage between body ground and the
climate control unit 30P connector No. 11 and
No. 12 terminals individually.
Repair short to power in the wires.
Go to step 21.
21. Reconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
22. Test the power transistor (see page 21-54).
Check for loose wires or poor connections at
the climate control unit 30P connector and at the
power transistor 4P connector. If the connections
are good, substitute a known-good climate control
unit, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes
away, replace the original climate control unit.
Replace the power transistor.
23. Disconnect the jumper wire.
24. Disconnect the blower motor 2P connector.
25. Measure the voltage between the blower motor 2P
connector No. 1 terminal and body ground.
Replace the blower motor.
Go to step 26.
26. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
27. Remove the blower motor relay from the under-
hood fuse/relay box, and test it (see page 22-75).
Go to step 28.
Replace the blower motor relay.

28. Measure the voltage between the blower motor
relay 4P socket No. 2 terminal and body ground.
Go to step 29.
Replace the under-hood fuse/relay box
(see page 22-72).
29. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
30. Measure the voltage between the blower motor
relay 4P socket No. 4 terminal and body ground.
Go to step 31.
Repair open in the wire between the No. 30
(7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and
the blower motor relay.
31. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
32. Check for continuity between the blower motor
relay 4P socket No. 3 terminal and body ground.
Repair open in the WHT/BLU wire between
the blower motor relay and the blower motor.
Check for an open in the wire between the
blower motor relay and body ground. If the wire is
OK, check for poor ground at G202 (see page 22-68).

1. Check the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash
fuse/relay box.
Go to step 2.
Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse
blows again, check for a short in the No. 30 (7.5 A)
fuse circuit.
2. Disconnect the recirculation control motor 7P
connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between the recirculation
control motor 7P connector No. 1 terminal and
body ground.
Go to step 5.
Repair open in the wire between the No. 30
(7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and
the recirculation control motor.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Test the recirculation control motor (see page
21-57).
Go to step 7.
Replace the recirculation control motor
(see page 21-57), or repair the recirculation control
linkage or door.
7. Disconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
8. Check for continuity between body ground and the
climate control unit 30P connector No. 27 and
No. 28 terminals individually.
Repair short to body ground in the wires
between the climate control unit and the
recirculation control motor.
Go to step 9.
