Go to step 4.
Repair open in the wires between the climate
control unit and the navigation unit.
4. Check for continuity between body ground and the
climate control unit 30P connector No. 24, 25, and
26 terminals individually.
Repair short to body ground in the wires
between the climate control unit and the navigation
unit.
Check for loose wires or poor connections at
the climate control unit 30P connector and at the
navigation unit connector A (20P). If the
connections are good, substitute a known-good
climate control unit and/or navigation unit, and
recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away,
replace the original climate control unit and/or
navigation unit.

1. Check the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash
fuse/relay box.
Go to step 2.
Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse
blows again, check for a short in the No. 30 (7.5 A)
fuse circuit.
2. Disconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between the climate control
unit 30P connector No. 1 terminal and body ground.
Go to step 5.
Repair an open in the wire between the No. 30
(7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and
the climate control unit.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Check for continuity between the climate control
unit 30P connector No. 15 terminal and body
ground.
Check for loose wires and poor connections
at the climate control unit 30P connector. If
connections are good, substitute a known-good
climate control unit and recheck. If the symptom/
indication goes away, replace the original climate
control unit.
Check for an open in the wire between the
climate control unit and body ground. If the wire is
OK, check for poor ground at G402 (see page 22-68).

NOTE:
• Do not use this troubleshooting procedure if any of
the following items are operative; condenser fan,
radiator fan, A/C compressor. Refer to the symptom
troubleshooting index.
• Before doing any symptom troubleshooting, check
for powertrain DTCs (see page 11-3).
1. Check for body DTCs using B-CAN system
diagnosis test mode A troubleshooting (see page
22-99).
Do the appropriate troubleshooting for the
DTC indicated.
Go to step 2.
2. Disconnect the A/C pressure switch 4P connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between the A/C pressure
switch 4P connector No. 4 terminal and body
ground.
Go to step 5.
Go to step 19.
5. Connect the A/C pressure switch 4P connector
No. 4 terminal to body ground with the jumper wire.
6. Start the engine
Go to step 7.
Check the connection of under-hood fuse/
relay box connector H (18P) No. 3 terminal. If the
connection is OK, replace the under-hood fuse/
relay box (see page 22-72).
7. Disconnect the jumper wire, and turn the ignition
switch OFF.
8. Check for continuity between the A/C pressure
switch No. 1 and No. 4 terminals.
Go to step 9.
Go to step 18.

10. Disconnect climate control unit 30P connector.
11. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
12. Measure the voltage between the climate control
unit 30P connector No. 29 terminal and body
ground.
Go to step 13.
Repair the open in the wire between the
climate control unit and the A/C pressure switch.
13. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
14. Measure the evaporator temperature sensor
resistance between the climate control unit 30P
connector No. 7 and No. 22 terminals.
Go to step 15.
Test the evaporator temperature sensor
(see page 21-53).
15. Reconnect the climate control unit 30P connector.
16. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
17. Check that blower motor operates at all speeds.
Check for loose wires or poor connections at
the climate control unit 30P connector and at the
A/C pressure switch 4P connector. If the
connections are good, substitute a known-good
climate control unit and recheck. If the symptom/
indication goes away, replace the original climate
control unit.
