SRS MAIN HARNESS 28P CONNECTOR
20. Disconnect SRS floor harness 28P connector (A)
from the SRS main harness connector C851.
21. Check resistance between the No. 6 and No. 15
terminals of the SRS main harness 28P connector.
There should be an open circuit, or at least 1 M
.
Short in the SRS floor harness; replace the
SRS floor harness.
Short in the SRS main harness; replace the
SRS main harness.
Wire side of female terminals
Is the r esistance as specif ied?

Short to Power in Front Passenger’s Seat Belt
Tensioner
• SRS inflator simulator 07SAZ-TB4011A
• SRS simulator lead C 07TAZ-SZ5011A
1. Erase the DTC memory (see page 23-39).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the
SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and
then goes off.
Go to step 3.
Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures (see
page 23-39).
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the
battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes.
4. Disconnect the front passenger’s seat belt
tensioner 2P connector from the right side wire
harness (A).
5. Connect the special tool (2
connector) to the
right side wire harness 2P connector.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Erase the DTC memory.
8. Read the DTC (see page 23-38).
Go to step 9.
Short to power in the front passenger’s seat
belt tensioner; replace the front passenger’s seat
belt (see page 23-4).
9. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the
battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes.
10. Disconnect the SRS main harness 2P connector
C581 from the right side wire harness 2P connector
(A).
11. Connect the special tool (2
connector) to the SRS
main harness 2P connector.
12. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
13. Erase the DTC memory.
14. Read the DTC.
Go to step 15.
Short to power in the right side wire harness;
replace the right side wire harness.

SRS UNIT CONNECTOR B (28P)
15. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the
battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes.
16. Disconnect the driver’s seat belt tensioner
connector (A).
17. Disconnect SRS unit connector B (28P) from the
SRS unit.
18. Disconnect the special tool from the SRS main
harness 2P connector.
19. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
20. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
21. Check for voltage between the No. 3 terminal of
SRS unit connector B (28P) and body ground, and
between the No. 4 terminal and body ground.
There should be 0.5 V or less.
Faulty SRS unit; replace the SRS unit (see
page 23-384).
Go to step 22.

22. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

from the SRS main harness connector C851.
24. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
25. Check for voltage between the No. 6 terminal of the
SRS main harness 28P connector and body ground,
and between the No. 15 terminal and body ground.
There should be 0.5 V or less.
Short to power in the SRS floor harness;
replace the SRS floor harness.
Short to power in the SRS main harness;
replace the SRS main harness.
