(4) Check the voltage between the B-07 windshield

wiper motor connector terminal No.4 <L.H. drive
vehicles> or No.3 <R.H. drive vehicles> and body
earth.

OK: System voltage

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 5.

NO :

Go to Step 6.

Step 5. Retest the system.

Check that the windshield wipers work normally by
moving the switch to each position.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

The trouble can be an intermittent

malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00

NO :

Replace the windshield wiper motor.

Step 6. Connector check: A-12X front-ECU
connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 7.

NO :

Repair the defective connector.

Step 7. Check the wiring harness between B-07
windshield wiper motor connector terminal No.4
and body earth.

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check the
intermediate connector A-14, and repair if necessary.

•

Check the power supply line to front-ECU for
open circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 8.

NO :

Replace the front-ECU.

Step 8. Retest the system.

Check that the windshield wipers work normally by
moving the switch to each position.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Step 10. Measure the voltage at the B-07
windshield wiper motor connector.

(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the

wiring harness side.

(2) Ignition switch: ON

(3) Windshield wiper switch: HI

(4) Check the voltage between the B-07 windshield

wiper motor connector terminal No.1 <L.H. drive
vehicles> or No.5 <R.H. drive vehicles> and body
earth.

OK: System voltage

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 11.

NO :

Go to Step 12.

Step 11. Retest the system.

Check that the windshield wipers work normally by
moving the switch to each position.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :
