Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the pulse 1 signal from the power window motor
(front: LH) cannot be received, power window sub
switch (front: LH) sets the diagnosis code No. 2001.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-16 front power
window sub switch connector and E-18 front
power window motor (LH) connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 2.

NO :

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-16
front power window sub switch connector
terminal Nos.8, 3 and E-18 front power window
motor (LH) connector terminal Nos.4, 5.

• Check the input and output lines for open or short

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 3.

NO :

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the front power window sub switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.
