STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-16
front power window sub switch connector
terminal Nos.2, 3 and E-18 front power window
motor (LH) connector terminal Nos.2, 5.

• Check the input and output lines for open or short

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 3.

NO :

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the front power window sub switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.

Code No.2003: P/W (AS) Above window position

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the front passenger's door window glass exceeds
the fully closed position, power window sub switch
(front: RH) sets the diagnosis code No. 2003. And, if
the passenger’s door window glass is removed or
installed with the power is supplied to the power win-
dow sub switch (front: RH) sets this diagnosis code.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

<passenger’s side>

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the front power window
<passenger’s side> learning function.
(1) Check that the front power window sub switch

has learned the fully closed position of the
window (Refer to

P.42-172

).

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code

No.2003 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

The procedure is complete.

NO :

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor

<passenger’s side>.

(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the front power window sub switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the earth fault of the power window motor (front:
RH) sensor power supply is detected, power window
sub switch (front: RH) sets the diagnosis code No.
2004.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

(RH)

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-26 front power
window sub switch connector and E-01 front
power window motor (RH) connector

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the anti-trap function is activated consecutively
three times or more, power window sub switch (pas-
senger’s side) sets the diagnosis code No. 2005.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

<passenger’s side>

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the front power window
<passenger’s side> learning function.
(1) Check that the front power window sub switch

has learned the fully closed position of the
window (Refer to

P.42-172

).

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code

No.2005 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

The procedure is complete.

NO :

Go to Step 2.
