The engine warning light does not come on immediately after
turning ignition switch ON.
Probable causes
To check whether the engine warning light bulb is broken or not, the
engine ECU checks the engine warning light for a duration of 5 seconds
immediately after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
• Engine warning lamp bulb is broken
• Ignition switch malfunction
• Engine control relay malfunction
• Engine ECU malfunction
