INSTALLATION
1. Position the handle (1) into the door and install the
nuts (4).
2. Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (45 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the link.
4. Install the watershield. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - REAR/WATERSHIELD - INSTALLATION)

CHANNEL-GLASS
REMOVAL
1. Raise glass to the up position and remove the
watershield. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOORS - REAR/
WATERSHIELD - REMOVAL)
2. Remove the inner belt molding.
3. Remove the bolt and nut (3) and remove the front
channel.
4. Remove the door glass as necessary. (Refer to 23

5. Remove the bolt (4) and remove the rear glass run
channel and stationary glass (1).
INSTALLATION
1. Install the rear glass run channel and stationary
glass (1) into the door and seat fully along the door
frame.
2. Install the bolt (4) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.).
3. Install the door glass as necessary except for the
inner belt molding. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOORS -
REAR/DOOR GLASS - INSTALLATION)
4. Install the front glass run channel and install the
bolt and nut (3).
5. Tighten the bolt and nut (3) to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.).
6. Install the inner belt molding and install the water-
shield. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOORS - REAR/WA-
TERSHIELD - INSTALLATION)

LATCH
REMOVAL
1. Remove the watershield. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - REAR/WATERSHIELD - REMOVAL)
2. Disconnect the latch actuator rods (3 & 4).
3. Remove the screws (5) and remove the latch (1).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
INSTALLATION
1. Position the latch (1) into the door and connect the
electrical connector (2).
2. Install the latch and install the screws (5).
3. Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (85 in. lbs.).
4. Connect the actuator rods (3 & 4).
5. Install the watershield. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - REAR/WATERSHIELD - INSTALLATION)

DOOR
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the door wire harness electrical con-
nector at the b-pillar.
2. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the out-
line of the door hinges on the door end to aid
installation.
3. Support the door with a suitable lifting device.
NOTE: The welded washers should not be sepa-
rated from the hinge. If the washers are removed
the door may have to be re-adjusted.
4. Remove the nuts attaching the door hinges (2) to
the door (3).
INSTALLATION
1. Support the door with a suitable lifting device and
install the door onto the hinges.
2. Install the nuts and washers, if there were removed
previously, and tighten to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Adjust the door as necessary. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - REAR/DOOR - ADJUSTMENTS)
ADJUSTMENTS
NOTE: For vehicles with four doors, it is recommended that you adjust the rear door before adjusting the
front door. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOORS - REAR/DOOR - ADJUSTMENTS)
•
Door adjustment measurements should be taken from stationary or welded body panels like the roof,
rocker or quarter panels.
•
During adjustment procedures, it is recommended that all the hinge fasteners be loosened except for the
upper most fasteners. Adjustments can be made using the upper bolts to hold the door with final torque
of the fasteners occurring after correct door positioning is achieved.
•
A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.
