Diagnostic Test
1.
TEST FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1035 - INFRARED TEMPERATURE
SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
>> Go To 2
No
>> The condition that caused this code to set is not present
at this time. Using the wiring diagram as a guide, inspect
the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
Operate the system several times and recheck for active
DTCs.
Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1.

CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC B1035 - INFRARED TEMPERATURE
SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH, WITH JUMPER WIRE
CONNECTED BETWEEN THE (C83) INFRARED SENSOR
SIGNAL CIRCUIT AND THE (Z957) GROUND CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition off.
Connect a jumper wire between the (C83) Infrared Sensor Signal cir-
cuit and the (Z957) ground circuit.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1035 - INFRARED TEMPERATURE
SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?
YES
>> Replace the Infrared Temperature Sensor in accordance
with the Service Information.
Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1.
NO
>> Go To 4
4.
CHECK THE (Z957) INFRARED SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
FOR AN OPEN
Measure the resistance of the (Z957) Infrared Sensor Ground circuit
between the Infrared Temperature Sensor harness connector and
ground.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
YES
>> Repair the (Z957) Infrared Sensor Ground circuit for an
open.
