(T102) SHIFT MOTOR — (NEG) CIRCUIT OPEN
Measure the resistance of the (T102) Shift Motor — (neg) circuit from
the Shift Motor/Mode Sensor Assembly connector to the Integrated
Power Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes
>> Repair the (T102) Shift Motor — (neg) circuit for an open.
Perform the TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST-
VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CON-
TROL MODULES/TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE
- DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)
No
>> Go to 8
8.
(T101) SHIFT MOTOR + (POS) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO (T102) SHIFT MOTOR — (NEG) CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between (T101) Shift Motor + (pos) circuit and
the (T102) Shift Motor — (neg) circuit at the Shift Motor/Mode Sensor
Assembly connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
>> Repair the (T101) Shift Motor + (pos) circuit for a short to
the (T102) Shift Motor — (neg) circuit.

INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS
The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.
Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
While monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit, wiggle test the wiring and connectors.
Look for the data to change or for the DTC to reset during the wiggle test.
Were any problems found?
Yes
>> Repair as necessary.

When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

Set Condition:
CCM detects low voltage on the Neutral Indicator Control Circuit.
Possible Causes
INTERMITTENT CONDITION
(G95) 4WD NEUTRAL INDICATOR CIRCUIT OPEN
(G95) 4WD NEUTRAL INDICATOR CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE (CCN)
Diagnostic Test
1.
NEUTRAL INDICATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT DTC IS ACTIVE
Ignition on.
With the scan tool, Clear DTCs.
Shift the Transfer Case into neutral for 30 seconds.
NOTE: To select or deselect Transfer Case Neutral, vehicle speed must be 0 MPH with the ignition ON,
engine OFF, the brake pedal applied, and the transmission in neutral (auto trans) or the clutch pedal
pressed (man trans). Press the Neutral button (if equipped) on the Transfer Case Selector Switch until the
Neutral Indicator is illuminated.
WARNING: Apply the parking brake. The vehicle may roll with the Transfer Case in neutral.
NOTE: To verify that the Transfer Case is in Neutral, shift the automatic transmission into reverse and
release the brake pedal for three seconds or shift the manual transmission into gear and slowly release the
clutch pedal. There should be no vehicle movement if the Transfer Case is in Neutral.
With the scan tool, Read DTCs.
Does the Neutral Indicator DTC reset?
Yes
>> Go to 2
No
>> Go to 6
