DOOR SURROUND PANEL
REMOVAL
(1) Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent,
remove the door sill.
(2) Separate the primary door seal from the sur-
round.
(3) Remove the front screws. (Fig. 8)
(4) Remove the side and top screws. (Fig. 9)
(5) Using a flat blade scraper, cut the sealant from
between surround panel, frame and front of dash
panel.
INSTALLATION
(1) Clean sealant residue from frame and sill
panel.
(2) Paint metal panels to avoid corrosion if neces-
sary.
(3) Apply new sealant to the frame and front of
dash. (Refer to 23 - BODY/BODY STRUCTURE/
SEALER LOCATIONS - SPECIFICATIONS)
(4) Install surround panel.
(5) Install the screws.
(6) Install the primary door seal.
(7) Install the door sill panel.
REAR VIEW MIRROR
REMOVAL
(1) Loosen screw attaching rear view mirror to
mirror support button (Fig. 10).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector.
(3) Remove mirror from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the mirror base at the bracket and
slide it downward onto the support bracket.
(2) Tighten the setscrew 1 N·m (15 in. lbs.) torque.
(3) Connect mirror harness connector.
INSTALLATION - REAR VIEW MIRROR
SUPPORT BRACKET
(1) Mark the position for the mirror bracket on the
outside of the windshield glass with a wax pencil.
(2) Clean the bracket contact area on the glass.
Use a mild powdered cleanser on a cloth saturated
with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Finally, clean the
glass with a paper towel dampened with alcohol.
(3) Sand the surface on the support bracket with
fine grit-sandpaper. Wipe the bracket surface clean
with a paper towel.
(4) Apply accelerator to the surface on the bracket
according to the following instructions:

(a) Crush the vial to saturate the felt applicator.
(b) Remove the paper sleeve.
(c) Apply accelerator to the contact surface on
the bracket.
(d) Allow the accelerator to dry for five minutes.
(e) Do not touch the bracket contact surface
after the accelerator has been applied.
(5) Apply adhesive accelerator to the bracket con-
tact surface on the windshield glass. Allow the accel-
erator to dry for one minute. Do not touch the glass
contact
surface
after
the
accelerator
has
been
applied.
(6) Install the bracket according to the following
instructions:
(a) Apply one drop of adhesive at the center of
the bracket contact-surface on the windshield
glass.
(b) Apply an even coat of adhesive to the contact
surface on the bracket.
(c) Align the bracket with the marked position
on the windshield glass.
(d) Press and hold the bracket in place for at
least one minute.
NOTE: Verify that the mirror support bracket is cor-
rectly aligned, because the adhesive will cure rap-
idly.
(7) Allow the adhesive to cure for 8-10 minutes.
Remove any excess adhesive with an alcohol-damp-
ened cloth.
(8) Allow the adhesive to cure for an additional
8-10 minutes before installing the mirror.
SIDE COWL TRIM
REMOVAL
(1) Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, scuff
plate. (Fig. 11)
(2) Remove the rear screw.
(3) Remove the two push pin fasteners.
(4) Remove the cowl trim panel.
INSTALLATION
(1) Install the cowl trim panel.
(2) Install the push pin fasteners.
(3) Install the rear screw.
(4) Install the door scuff plate and seat the spring
clips fully.
SPORT HOOP
REMOVAL
Sport Hoop
(1) Remove the sport hoop fastener cover.
(2) Remove the two bolts and remove the sport
hoop. (Fig. 12)

Sport Hoop Mounting Brackets
(1) Remove the bulkhead quarter trim panels.
(Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/BULKHEAD TRIM
PANEL - REMOVAL)
(2) Remove the fasteners and remove the mount-
ing brackets. (Fig. 13)
INSTALLATION
Sport Hoop Mounting Brackets
(1) Install the bracket and install the fasteners.
(2) Tighten the bolts to 39 N·m (29 ft. lbs.).
(3) Install
the
bulkhead
quarter
trim
panels.
(Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/BULKHEAD TRIM
PANEL - INSTALLATION)
Sport Hoop
(1) Install the sport hoop and install the bolts.
(2) Tighten the bolts to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.).
(3) Install the sport hoop fastener cover.
SUN VISOR
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the screw and remove the visor. (Fig.
14)

INSTALLATION
(1) Install the visor and install the mounting
screw.
(2) Tighten the screw to 7 N·m (60 in. lbs.).
FRONT TUNNEL CONSOLE
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the console bezel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/CENTER
CONSOLE
BEZEL

REMOVAL)
(2) Disconnect the battery power supply electrical
connector.
(3) Remove the two front screws and the four
screws from within the storage bin. (Fig. 15)
(4) Move the seats forward and remove the two
screws along the back of the console on the sides.
(5) Lift the front of the console up and disconnect
the electrical connectors. (Fig. 16)
(6) Remove the console from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the console in the vehicle and connect
the electrical connectors.
(2) Install the rear of the console and then the
front.
(3) Install the rear screws.
(4) Move the seats back and install the four stor-
age bin screws.
(5) Install the two front screws.
(6) Connect the battery power supply electrical
connector.
(7) Install the console bezel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE BEZEL - INSTAL-
LATION)
