3. Is the measured voltage within specifications?
YES
Substitute with a known-good IMS and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace IMS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE
REPAIR" procedure.
NO
Go to step 2.
2. Check seat motor/sensor
1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter
4. Check if the DTC is erased while Substituting with a known-good seat motor (slide, recline, front
height, rear height) one after another.
5. Is the DTC erased?
YES
Substitute with a known-good seat motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is
corrected, replace seat motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR"
procedure.
NO
Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,
or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR"
