< REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION >
EVAPORATOR PIPE ASSEMBLY
4.
Remove mounting bolt (A) and then disconnect low-pressure
pipe (1) and high-pressure pipe (2) from expansion valve.
CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the A/C piping and expansion valve
with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry
of air.
5.
Remove blower unit assembly. Refer to the following.
• Refer to
(WITHOUT 7 INCH DISPLAY).
• Refer to
(WITH 7 INCH DISPLAY).
6.
Remove fixing screws (A) and then remove foot duct assembly
RH (1).
7.
Disconnect air mix door motor (passenger side) connector.
8.
Remove fixing screws (A) and then remove heater & cooling unit
case cover (1) together with the air mix door motor (2). (Passen-
ger side)
9.
Remove mounting bolts (A) and then remove evaporator pipe
assembly (1) and the expansion valve (2) from evaporator.
CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the A/C piping and evaporator with
suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

10. Remove mounting bolts (A) and then remove evaporator pipe
(2) from evaporator assembly (1).
CAUTION:

of air.
INSTALLATION
Note the following items and then install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
• Replace O-rings with new ones. Then apply compressor oil to them when installing.
• Check for leakages when recharging refrigerant.

REMOVAL
1.
Remove evaporator pipe assembly. Refer to
.
2.
Slide the evaporator (1) toward the right side of vehicle.
3.
Remove intake sensor (2) and then remove evaporator.
INSTALLATION
Note the following items and then install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
• Replace O-rings with new ones. Then apply compressor oil to them when installing.
• Mark the mounting position of intake sensor bracket prior to removal so that the reinstalled sensor
can be located in the same position.
• Never rotate the bracket insertion part when removing and installing the intake sensor.
• Check for leakages when recharging refrigerant.
