CLOCK
REMOVAL
(1) Open hood.
(2) Disconnect and isolate the negative battery
remote cable.
(3) Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755), gently
pry out instrument panel air distribution outlet bezel
that retains the analog clock.
(4) Disconnect the one wire connector to the clock.
(5) Remove bezel from vehicle.
(6) On the bench, remove two retaining screws to
analog clock and remove from bezel (Fig. 9).
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
CLUSTER LAMPS
To service instrument cluster lamps, the cluster
must be removed from the instrument panel. For
removal and installation procedures of the instru-
ment cluster and bezel refer to the procedures in this
section.
Refer to (Fig. 10), (Fig. 11), and (Fig. 12) for cluster
lamp locations.
The lamps that are replaceable are called out on
the back cover of the instrument cluster. All other
indicators are Light Emitting Diodes (LED’s), and
are serviced with the printed circuit (PC) board. If a
LED is non-functional, the entire PC board must be
replaced. Refer to the INDICATORS – BULBS table
for applications.

TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH
The traction control switch in located in the upper
right trim bezel on the instrument panel. The upper
right trim bezel must be removed to service the
switch. Refer to Upper Right Trim Bezel Removal
and Installation in this section.
REMOVAL
(1) With the bezel removed, press the tabs in at
both sides of the switch and remove the switch from
the bezel.
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
Check the switch for proper operation.
UPPER RIGHT TRIM BEZEL
REMOVAL
(1) Open hood and disconnect the negative battery
cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
(2) Remove one allen screw to shifter knob.
(3) Remove left and right instrument panel end
covers.
(4) Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755), gently
pry up on shifter bezel, disconnect two wire connec-
tors, one illumination bulb socket and remove.
(5) Remove two screws from lower instrument
panel cover (outside end) and disconnect decklid
release switch wiring connector. Pull rearward on
lower instrument panel cover releasing clips. Remove
cable to brake release handle. Pull rearward and
remove cover from vehicle.
(6) Using a trim stick, gently pry rearward on the
center instrument panel bezel.
(7) Disconnect one wire connector to HVAC control
head.
(8) Remove instrument panel center trim bezel.
(9) Remove four screws along bottom of glove box.
(10) Open glove box door and remove glove box
from vehicle.
(11) Remove two screws to left console side cover,
pull outboard and remove from vehicle.
(12) Remove two screws to right console side cover,
pull outboard and remove from vehicle.
(13) Remove two screws on either side of forward
console at instrument panel.
(14) Using a trim stick, gently pry out on top of
forward console, instrument panel mounted.
(15) Remove four screws along bottom edge of
upper right trim bezel.
(16) Tilt steering wheel down to prevent damage to
bezel.
(17) Using a trim stick, gently pry trim bezel away
from instrument panel and disconnect traction con-
trol switch connector.
(18) Remove upper right trim bezel from vehicle
(Fig. 13).
INSTALLATION
(1) For installation, reverse the above procedures.
