INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
a. Check for DTCs (see DTC B1500 FUEL SENDER OPEN DETECTED ).

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM (FUEL RECEIVER GAUGE)
a. Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "ACTIVE TEST" or
"Active Test" (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE MALFUNCTION
DESCRIPTION
In this circuit, the combination meter receives the engine coolant temperature signals from the ECM using the
CAN communication lines. The combination meter displays an engine coolant temperature that is calculated
based on the data received from the ECM.

OPERATING LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT DOES NOT CHANGE LIGHT BRIGHTNESS
DESCRIPTION
The illumination intensity of the combination meter and accessory meter is increased by turning the knob of the
light control rheostat upward, and decreased by turning the knob downward.

1. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM (LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT)
a. Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "DATA LIST" or "Data List" (see
DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
