Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.



The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

a. Remove the front seat (see REMOVAL ).

2. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )

6. REMOVE INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (see DISASSEMBLY )

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

a. Heat the thermostat with a light.

b. Check the seat cushion heater.

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater.

Tester Connection

A-1 - A-4

Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C(68°F)

3.0 to 3.6 ohms

A-1 - B-1

Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C (68°F)

3.0 to 3.6 ohms

A-1 - B-2

Thermostat temperature 25 to 35°C (77 to 95°F)

Below 1 ohms

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH

a. Heat the thermostat with a light.

b. Check the seat cushion heater.

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

4. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (see REASSEMBLY )

5. INSTALL INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see REASSEMBLY )

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )

7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see REASSEMBLY )
