6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 3 WIRE FRAME (w/ Trailer Towing System)

a. Install the wire frame with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 8.3 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf)

b. Attach the clamp.

c. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

a. Install the side extension with the 3 screws and bolt.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 SUPPORT

a. Install the bumper support.

5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Install the bumper pad with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf)

6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER

a. Attach the 4 claws to install the bumper cover.

b. Install the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

Torque: for bolt

7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf)

for nut

7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf)

c. Install the 2 clips and 4 screws.

Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf)

7. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

a. Attach the claw to install the license plate light.

b. Install the screw.

8. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REAR BUMPER (FOR STEEL TYPE BUMPER)

COMPONENTS

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see
INITIALIZATION ).
