THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM
PRECAUTION
1. NOTICE FOR ARMED STATE
If the vehicle is left in the alarm state for an extended period of time or in another condition that causes
the battery to be fully depleted, the alarm may sound simultaneously with the recharging of the battery or
the replacement of the battery with a new one.* If this occurs, immediately unlock the vehicle's doors
through a wireless unlock operation or entry unlock operation to stop the alarm.
HINT:
*: This may occur in the following situation: during active arming mode or passive arming mode while in
the armed state, the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected (see
OPERATION CHECK ).
