Measure the required thickness of the input shaft
adjustment shim:
Add the measured values, divide by three and then add
the value for the bearing pre-load.
Input shaft bearing pre-load: 0.03 mm.
Example: 1.10 mm + 1.12 mm + 1.14 mm, divided by 3
= 1.12 mm. 1.12 mm + 0.03 mm = 1.15 mm.
Determined shim thickness: 1.15 mm.
If the calculated shim thickness is an odd number, select
the shim with the next higher number.

Measure the required thickness of the reverse gear
output shaft adjustment shim:
Add the measured values, divide by three and then add
the value for the bearing pre-load.
Reverse gear output shaft bearing pre-load: 0.11 mm.
Example: 1.40 mm + 1.40 mm + 1.40 mm, divided by 3
= 1.40 mm. 1.40 mm + 0.11 mm = 1.51 mm.
Determined shim thickness: 1.51 mm.
If the calculated shim thickness is an odd number, select
the shim with the next higher number.

27. Remove the following items:

28. Install the following items:

CAUTIONS:

Take extra care not to damage the bearing.

Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when

handling the components.

NOTE: Make sure that new components are
installed.

3. Special Tool(s):

Repeat this and the following four steps three times and
determine the average values.
Lift the measuring rings to approx. 10 mm.

NOTE: Make sure that new components are
installed.

determine the average values.
Lift the measuring rings to approx. 10 mm.

32. Hold the bearing cup and press down on the special tool

simultaneously.

33. Torque: 10 Nm
