Chery B14. Manual — part 34

11.1.5 Take off inside/outside circulation ventilator

11.1.6 Disassemble 4 inside/outside circulation ventilator

fixing bolts, and take off the ventilator

11.1.7 Disassemble interior temperature sensor holder

11.2 Assemble of other accessories for evaporator

The installing steps are reverse to those for removal.

III. Trouble shooting

Pressure deviated type

Possible reasons

Method for trouble shooting

1.

Pressure on high pressure side

is not changed or increased

slightly (compare to engine

stopped); pressure on low

pressure side is within the

schematic range or lower than

that, means AC cooling ability

is not enough

2.

pressure on high pressure side is

ok, pressure on low pressure

Refrigerant is not enough or

expansion valve failure.

Take out refrigerant

● If the quantity of refrigerant is ok

1.

Replace expansion valve

2.

Refill refrigerant

3.

Check the pressure again

● If the quantity of refrigerant is not

enough

1.

Check if there is leaking, if there

is fix it

2.

Refill refrigerant

side is within schematic range,

AC is cooling ability is not

enough

3.

Check the pressure again

Pressure on high pressure side is

higher than stipulated value, and

lower pressure side is decreased to

schematic range or lower, the AC

cooling ability is not enough

There must be somewhere is

blocked or throttled in refrigerant

pipe;

Expansion valve is invalid

Touch the pipe by hand feeling T changes

●If there is T difference between every

positions of one part

1. Blow the pipe by compressed air and

Nitrogen, replace expansion valve also

2. Replace blocked part

● If there is no fault

1, Blow the pipe by compressed air and

Nitrogen

2. Check the pressure again

At the beginning low pressure side is

ok, but after a while, high pressure

side pressure is higher than specified

value, and low pressure side is

within the schematic range or lower.

AC cooling ability is not enough

Expansion valve is invalid

There is vapor in refrigerant pipe

Check if it is dirty or rusty inside of the

expansion valve, replace it if necessary

● Blow the pipe by compressed air and

Nitrogen

High pressure side is higher than

specified value or too high, low

pressure side is too high, AC cooling

ability is not enough, there is strange

noise on compressor (especially at the

beginning when it is started)

The quantity of refrigerant is over

in the pipe

Expansion valve is invalid or

compressor is damaged

Take out refrigerant

●If the quantity of refrigerant is ok

1, Replace expansion valve

2, Refill refrigerant

3, Check the pressure again

● If the quantity of refrigerant is over

1. Refill refrigerant

2.Check pressure again

Note: after pressure recheck, if the

system can not work properly.

Reassemble the replaced expansion valve

and blow the pipe through by compressed

air and Nitrogen, replace compressor and

reservoir dryer.

High pressure side pressure is

increased slightly, low pressure side is

decreased slightly, AC cooling ability

is not enough

Compressor is damaged

Blow the pipe through by compressed air

and Nitrogen

Replace compressor and reservoir dryer

High pressure side is ok, low pressure

side is too low, AC cooling is

correct, sometimes evaporator is

freezing (the quantity of refrigerant

is correct)

Expansion valve is invalid or

compressor is damaged

Replace expansion valve

Refill refrigerant: recheck pressure, if the

system is not correct, reassemble the

replaced expansion valve and blow the

pipe through by compressed air and

Nitrogen, replace compressor and

reservoir dryer.

1, high and low pressure both are

correct, AC cooling ability is not

enough

2. high and low pressure both are

correct, compressor has strange noise

(especially at the beginning of engine

started), AC cooling is correct

Quantity of lubricant inside of AC

pipe is over

Take out refrigerant

B

low the pipe through by compressed

air and Nitrogen

Note: pay attention to the lubricant

quantity when replace compressor and

other parts

Reservoir can not be used

• Perforation

• Seal position is damaged

• Thread of fastener is damaged,

and outside air is entering into

the system at prolonged time.
