Engine speed recorder

It shows the engine speed (rpm).

The red area in the upper right side of
the dial represents the highest
allowable speed range that the engine
can get in a short period of time under
the operating temperature of the
engine after its running-in.

However, it is recommended to push
the shift control rod into the next
higher gear or remove your leg from
the accelerator pedal when the pointer
reaches this zone.

NOTICE:

Entering into the next higher gear
early is favorable to save fuel and
decrease the driving noise.

Once you find the engine operates
unsteadily, please shift the control rod
into the next lower gear.

During the running-in
period, don’t make the
engine

operate

at

high-speed!
