Chapter Five Bumper

I. Disassembling and installing

of the front bumper

(I) Front bumper

Disassembling and installing

1. Remove the set bolts on the

front wheel cover.

2. Loosen the set bolt between the

front fog light cover and the front bumper.

Remove the fog light cover.

3. Remove the three set bolts

between each fog light and the bumper.

4. Remove the set bolt between the

bumper holding bracket and the front beam

of the bottom plate.

5. Slide the bumper forward until it is

disconnected with the clamp type bracket

on the side.

Tightening torque for the bolt on

the bumper bracket during installing is

11.9

±

1.2N.m. Tightening torque for the

bumper bracket is 82

±

8N.m.

(II) Disassembling the side bracket

Take out the fixing clamp of the

expansion seat from internal side of the

fenderboard with a plunger. Remove the

clamp bracket on the side.

Make sure that clearance between the

side skirt guard board and vehicle body,

the decorative board of rear wheel cover

does not exceed 1mm.

(III) Disassembling the bracket

Loosen the set bolt between the

bumper and the bracket and remove the

bracket.

Installing procedures for bumper are

in the reversed order. Bear in mind that

tightening torque for the set bolt between

the bracket and the beam is 85N.m.The bracket of the

front bumper should be placed in a transverse

direction parallel with the ground.

II. Disassembling and installing of the

rear bumper

(I) Rear bumper

Disassembling and installing

1. Disassemble part of the rear wheel

lining board. Loosen the set bolt between

the lining board and the rear bumper.

2. Loosen the set bolt between the

luggage compartment and the lower bottom

plate of the luggage compartment.

3. Loosen the set bolt between the

bumper and the inner side of the luggage

compartment.

4. Slide the bumper backward until it

is disconnected with the clamp type bracket

on the side or the bracket.

(II) Disassembling the side bracket

Take out the fixing clamp of

the expansion seat from internal side of the

fenderboard with a plunger. Remove the clamp

bracket on the side.

(III) Disassembling the bracket

Loosen the set bolt between the

bumper and the bracket. Remove the bracket.

Installing procedures for bumper are

in the reversed order. Bear in mind that

tightening torque for the set bolt between the

bracket and the beam is 85N.m.The bracket of the

rear bumper should be placed in a transverse

direction parallel with the ground.
