Chery A11. Manual — part 143

Without any adjusting shim, put the differential gear assy.,

then mount the transmission housing onto clutch housing, screw

the joining bolt and fasten it with 25Nm torque alternately.

Put the special tool on the minor half axle, then put the

micrometer with magnetic base on the platform; set zero at

1mm pre-tightening force. Move the differential assy. up and

down from the other side, and record the readings on

micrometer (i.e. 0.90mm)

Note: When measuring, never rotate the

differential assy. to avoid affecting the

accuracy of measurement.

Calculate the thickness of adjusting shim to

be installed.

When pre-tightening the bearing here, the

thickness of adjusting shim should be

0.40mm. If the micrometer reads 0.90mm,

the thickness of adjusting shim to be installed

should be:

0.4mm+0.9mm=1.30mm

Unscrew the joining bolts of differential

housing and clutch housing, take out the

outer loop of differential bearing on the

clutch housing; use minimum number of

shims to form the needed thickness and put

them onto the corresponding positions on

clutch, then fully press in the loop of

differential bearing. Mount the gasket and

differential housing, screw and tighten the

fastening bolts with 25Nm torque alternately.

Dismantlement and Assembly of Oil Seal and Output

Flange

It can be done without disassembling the transmission assy.

Dismantlement and Assembly of Left Oil Seal and Output

Flange

Take out snap ring and disk-shape washer

Remove the joining bolts of driving shaft and output flange,

remove the driving shaft and fix it at given position.

As indicated in figure, fix M8 bolt onto the flange with

special tool, rotate the shaft of the special tool with

wrench to remove the output flange. Remove spring lint

and spreader spring.

Flush down the blind cover of flange wit grafter or deift

punch.

Fasten the special tool onto oil seal, wrench the screw

spindle of the tool with wrench as indicated in figure,

until the oil seal is unscrewed.

Assembly of Left Oil Seal

Take the oil seal of correct type, apply grease on its lips, put it

on the due position with special tool, rotate the nut of special

tool until the oil seal is installed firmly onto its proper

position.

Assembly of Output Flange

When mounting output flange, press it in with presser or

special tool, as indicated in figure.

When mounting disk-shape washer, check it to see whether it

is at its due position.

When mounting snap ring, ensure it is in the groove.

Mount a new flange blind cover.

Connect the driving shaft and output flange. If necessary,

re-apply lubricant onto the given position.

Note:

The right oil seal of output flange is fixed on oil

seal seat. When dismantling the seat, knock it

down slightly with end wrench. When mounting,

press it fully in with special tool.
