No. 222 Electric mirror can’t work
Malfunction Cause
Solution
Switch parts of mirror
damaged
Check contacts of mirror control switch and contacts of left and right adjusting
switches for circuit break due to burn-out or too dirty; if yes, clean them or
replace switch parts; Check left and right adjusting switches for blocking; if yes,
switch parts should be replaced.
Poor contact, short-circuit
or open circuit of harness,
connecting wire and
connectors
Check connector of mirror switch parts for loosing or dropping-off; Check
connector of mirror motor for loosing or dropping-off;
Power supply for mirror
Disconnect connectors of mirror switch parts and measure voltage of its power
supply; find power supply wire and measured voltage should be 12 – 14 V; if
there is no voltage, fuse should be checked for burn-out; check if the resistance
between bond strap at mirror switch parts and body should be zero, otherwise
look for the line or tighten it up again; check if there is break between points of
harness connection and measure the resistance; it should be zero as conducting
state.

Malfunction of mirror motor
Check mirror motor for sign of burn-out and measure by multi-meter if the
resistance of motor is in normal range; if the resistance is infinite, thus the motor
is burnt or broken internally and should be replaced; check with power on:
disconnect connector of mirror motor; connect positive and negative poles of
external power supply to connectors of motor output and view if motor is
actuating; if not, it shows that motor has been broken internally and the electric
mirror should be replaced.

Solution
Malfunction of cooling system
Check cooling system for sufficient coolant and normal recirculation of
coolant;
Malfunction of water
temperature sensor
The water temperature sensor is negative thermostat-type; measure its
resistance variation under different temperature and working condition and
compare them to standard values; check, repair or replace water
temperature sensor;
Malfunction of wire
2) Check, repair or replace electric harness;
