REMOVING AND INSTALLING SUN VISOR - AR68.60-P-5480GH

Remove/install

Turn inside rearview mirror (1) 90 and press
against mirror housing at side.

Danger of breaking windshield. Do not

damage rain sensor (B38), if present.

Disconnect automatic dimming connector (2).

Only with automatically dimming inside

rearview mirror, code 249a.

Install in the reverse order

MAINTENANCE

CLEAN DOME (PREFABRICATED HEADLINER) FROM TEXTILE MATERIAL, FLOOR COVERINGS, REAR SHELF,
AND OTHER TEXTILES - AP68.00-P-1000-01A

Work procedure:

Remove dry contamination such as dust, ashes, etc. with dust extractor.* If this is not possible, e.g. deep-seated

Remove paneling on A-pillar (5)

Remove roof frame grab handles (3)

Open cover for grab handles, press both

clips together and push grab handles upward.
Pull out grab handles.

Unclip sun visor mount (1) on roof
frame

Unscrew screws (2) from sun visor
hinge on roof frame

Disconnect connector (E14/1x1,
E14/2x1) of sun visor from roof
wiring harness (4)

Pull headliner down approx. 10 cm at

corner next to A-pillar.

Do not kink headliner.

Remove sun visor (E14/1, E14/2)

Install in opposite order

dry contamination, brush seat with nylon or natural hair brush (not metal brush) and vacuum.

Clean severe spots and soil first with MB car shampoo. Soak up MB car shampoo with absorbent rags or paper
towel and dry (with air drier if required). If this is not successful, clean again with MB spot remover after
drying.

For this purpose, use a rag saturated with MB spot remover.

Generally soak up dissolved spot substances with absorbent rag or paper towel and dry.

Spots cannot always be removed without leaving a ring. In such cases, uniformly clean the individual column,
the entire part or the entire surface.

Carpeting can also be cleaned using the spray vacuum process with carpet cleaning machines

(e.g. Puzzi machine from Karcher company, etc.).

CLEAN SYNTHETIC LEATHER HEADLINER (STRETCH HEADLINER) - AP68.00-P-1000-02A

Work procedure

Apply uniformly and thinly with lent-free rag to prevent fluid from penetrating through the fine perforations.

Do not use solvent (naphtha or similar) Damages the surface of the synthetic leather.

Wipe off with moist, lent-free rag.

Do not use scouring agent to prevent scratching surfaces.

Do not bring Plexiglas cover on instrument cluster and Mercedes Star in steering wheel into contact with
solvent or cleaning agents containing solvents (danger of tension cracking).

Do not apply liquids to Plexiglas cover on instrument cluster.

Repair materials

Cleaning vehicle headliners of textile material (prefabricated headliners), floor
coverings, rear shelf coverings, and other textiles
