Removing

– Release adhesive joint -1- between lock reinforcing, C-pillar

reinforcing and wheel housing liner.

– Separate original joint between lock reinforcing and rear door

aperture.

Do not damage underlying panels when cutting out.

♦

Do not damage water drain hose -1- on models with a panorama sliding sunroof.

– Make parting cut -2- according to degree of damage.
– Separate original joint.

Note

Remove as much of the foam residue as possible at the water drain hose opening -1- before starting grinding

work.
