Torque: 33 N*m (336 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf)

REMOVE ENGINE STAND

a

Attach an engine sling device and hang the engine with a chain block

b

Lift the engine, and remove it from the engine stand

c

Place the engine onto a working bench

INSTALL DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR

a

Using SST, hold the crankshaft

SST 09213-54015 (91651-60855), 09330-00021

b

Temporarily install the front spacer, drive plate and rear spacer with the 8 bolts

Tighten the 8 bolts uniformly in several steps in the order shown below

Torque: 83 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 61 ft.*lbf)

NOTE:

Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installing.

INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY

a

Attach the engine sling device and hang the engine with the chain block

b

Slowly lower the engine into the engine compartment

Install the front engine mounting insulator LH

Torque: for bolt

79 N*m (806 kgf*cm, 58 ft.*lbf)

for nut

72 N*m (734 kgf*cm, 53 ft.*lbf)

Install the front engine mounting insulator RH

Torque: for bolt

79 N*m (806 kgf*cm, 58 ft.*lbf)

for nut

Remove the 2 engine hangers and 4 bolts

INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )

CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE (See INSTALLATION )

7

CONNECT WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (See INSTALLATION )

8

INSTALL REAR NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR (See INSTALLATION )

9

INSTALL NO. 3 FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL FLYWHEEL HOUSING UNDER COVER

a

Install the flywheel housing under cover

INSTALL DRIVE PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SETTING BOLT (See
INSTALLATION )

INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

a

Install the starter (for 1 6 kW Type) (see INSTALLATION )

b

Install the starter (for 2 0 kW Type) (see INSTALLATION )

INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

INSTALL BATTERY

CONNECT NO. 1 AND NO. 2 FUEL PIPE

a

Check that there is no damage or contamination in the connected part of pipe

b

Align the axis of the connector with the axis of the pipe Push the pipe into the connector until the
connector makes a "click" sound If the connection is tight, apply a small amount of fresh engine oil
on the tip of the pipe

After having finished the connection, try to pull apart the pipe and the connector and confirm that
they are securely connected

Install the fuel pipe clamp to the connector
