No. 190 CD-player fails to work when activating

Malfunction Cause

Solution

Power source circuit
malfunction or fuse
damaged;

Inspect +B and GND, which normal value shall be 10V to 14V. When ACC
and GND ignition switch locating at ACC or ON, the voltage shall be 10V to
14V. In common condition, GND and vehicle earth lead shall be conducted. If
it indicates no powers supply, then check whether the fuse is burnt or not,
and replace it if necessary.

CD-player power switch
malfunction or damage

Check the power switch on CD panel; operate the power switch by hand, if

there is no response then replace the CD-player

CD-player fails to
work when
activating

Internal CD-player power
source circuit
malfunction

Check the voltage of internal CD-player power source end, if the value is

between 10~14V as normal, then replace the CD-player assembly

No. 191 CD-player keeps soundless under all modes

Malfunction Cause

Solution

CD-player power

source malfunction

Inspect +B and GND, which normal value shall be 10V to 14V. When ACC and
GND ignition switch locating at ACC or ON, the voltage shall be 10V to 14V. If it
indicates no powers supply, then shall confirm whether the fuse is burnt or not,
and replace it if necessary.

Loudspeaker

malfunction

Check whether the appearance of loudspeaker is damaged, as well as the coil
whether it is burnt.
Method: Measure the resistance by multimeter setting at ohms range, and the
value shall be 4 Ohm, if it indicates to infinite, then the loudspeaker is burnt and
need to be replaced.

Wires and

connector

Check loudspeaker and CD-player connection whether there is open/short
circuit. Measure two ends of same colour respectively by multimeter setting to
Ohms range, and the value shall be 0 which means conducted. Check
CD-player rear plug whether it is loose, and the power source voltage whether
it is normal. In generally condition, GND and body earthlead shall be
conducted.

CD-player keeps
soundless under all
modes

CD-player sound

controller damaged

Check whether CD-player sound controller is damaged, and track adjustment
whether it is correct, as well as sound adjusting variable voltage regulator
whether it is badly worn. Replace CD-player assembly.

No. 192 CD-player/radio gains no power

Malfunction Cause

Solution

Vehicle ignition switch closed

Turn ignition device to ON or ACC position

Fuse burnt

Replace fuse of same specification

Power source output line loose

Replace it with new connector of same

specification if abnormal

Dirt in connector conducting point.

Clean the conducting point with special cleaning

solution or replace it with a new one.

Connector wire core disconnected

(open circuit)

Check loudspeaker output line with multimeter

whether it is disconnected, replace it with new
connector of same specification if necessary

Poor fuse contact (open circuit

sometimes)

Connect vehicle battery earthlead and speaker

housing by lead wire, if CD-player regains normal
operation, which indicates the earth lead open
circuit, then replace it with new connector of same
specification.
