No. 165 Front wheel with abnormal sound when turning

Malfunction Causes

Solution

1. Front suspension bolt loosening or damaged;

Check front suspension bolt is loosening or damaged;
fasten or replace it if any;

Check ball head of tie rod, lower swing arm are
loosening; replace it if any;

2. Ball head of tie rod, lower swing arm loosening;

Check ball head of lower swing arm is loosening;
replace it if any;

3. Rubber cover of lower swing arm damaged;

Check rubber cover of lower swing arm is damaged;
replace it if any;

4. Pressure bearing of front wheel lack of
lubricating oil or damaged;

Check pressure bearing of front wheel lacks of
lubricating oil or damaged; lubricate or replace it if any;

Abnormal sound
occur to front
wheel when
turning, while
normally when
driving straightly

5. Outer ball cage of front wheel worn, loosening;

Check outer ball cage of front wheel is worn, loosening;
replace it if any;

No.166 Heavy steering

Malfunction

Causes

Solution

(1) Ttire pressure not enough;

Tire inflation

(2) Fixed screws of steering knuckle loosening or
falling out;

Re-fasten

(3) Inner, outer tie rod ball head adjusted too
tighten or lack of oil;

Adjust their matching clearance or lubricate

(4) Bearing of drive part of steering gear having
too large pretightening force, or driven part and
lining matched too tighten;

Adjust clearance

(5) Meshing of drive, driven parts adjusted too
tighten;

Adjust gap

(6) Steering gear is oil-free or lack of oil;

Fill up lubricating oil

(7) Thrust bearing of steering knuckle lack of oil or
damaged;

Replace thrust bearing

(8) Steering shaft bent or its sleeve collapsed
causing scratchin;

Replace steering gear

(9) Kingpin rear inclination or inclination too large
or front wheel with negative outer inclination;

Four wheels positioning

Driver feels heavy
and difficult while
turning steering
wheel to left or
right during driving;
when the vehicle is
turning corner or
turning around at
low speed, hard or
even unable to turn
steering wheel.

(10) Vehicle frame deformed causing incorrect
positioning of front wheel.

Correct vehicle frame or four wheels positioning
